Our first ride is an easy, but also good way to shakeout the legs. Heading south-west along the Bilbao Valley, we will cross through the Parque de La Arboleda, a large forest at the top of one of the hills surrounding Bilbao. This is the time to make sure everything is perfect on your bike - if something is not quite right, let a mechanic or guide know and we will make sure to fix it before you start the tough ride.
DAY 2 - PRE TdF - East Coast Loop
Friday
123km & 2,020m
This route takes us north towards the Alto de la Granja and Castro-Urdiales, with its stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The highlight of this route is the ascent and views of the Alto Peñas Negras. Following this scenic ride, a special dinner awaits us as a reward in a secret location in Bilbao.

Saturday
70km & 1,180m // 102km & 2,150m
At just under 70 kilometres, this route will test your endurance, however will also reward your efforts with stunning scenery and plenty of quiet roads. Today we head northeast on a loop around Mungia, experiencing magnificent views along the way over the lush green landscape and spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean. Refreshments and local food will be waiting for us in a spectacular location during the route, providing us energy to enjoy the final climb of Stage 1. An optional 102 km route is available.
DAY 4 - STAGE 2 TdF - Southbound - Farewell
Sunday
117km & 1,590m
An early start to the south will take us directly to Legutio, through which stage 2 will pass after our arrival. We will then return to Bilbao to enjoy the last kilometres of this TdF stage. A good shower will be waiting for us at our hotel.
This is our last day together and, after a leisurely meal, it will be time to say goodbye, or at least arrive until we meet again. Our team will arrange airport transfers, but if you plan to stay a few more days, let us know if we can help you with bookings or recommendations.
