Today, April 4th, 3T cycling and Velodrom welcome the new 3T Exploro Ultra. After a couple of years of work, 3T surprises gravel lovers once again by presenting a new model of the Exploro line, the 3T Exploro Ultra.

With the experience gained in the more than recognised Exploro RaceMax, and under the guidance of the renowned engineer Gerard Vroomen (also owner of Open and co-founder of Cervelo), 3t has surprised us with the launch of a new model aimed at lovers of the wildest Gravel, with the premise of not losing efficiency in fast terrain. The 3T Exploro Ultra joins the wide range offered by 3T: 3T Exploro Team/Pro, 3T Exploro RaceMax, and the Strada.

Aesthetically speaking, the Exploro Ultra is very similar to its RaceMax sister. The first difference is the new seatpost. The Exploro Ultra switches from the 3T-specific seatpost system to a 27.2 diameter seatpost. In our opinion this change of seatpost has a clear purpose: the possibility of mounting a ‘standard ‘style seatpost to our bike.

Apparently, the 3T Exploro RaceMax doesn't offer any further changes, but nothing could be further from the truth. The new bike from 3T has increased the wheel arch to allow for the ability to mount up to a 700x45 tyre, something that some riders were missing on the RaceMax model. As a result of this wider wheelbase, the geometry has been redesigned and is more focused on gaining safety and comfort whilst riding the most unfavourable terrain for gravel bikes.

We are sure that the new 3T Exploro Ultra will delight the most extreme Gravel lovers. A perfect machine for you to adventures on another level.

3T Exploro Ultra

3T maintains the essence of the Exploro line, creating a bike that is capable of getting into even the worst trails. Exploro has been the pioneer of aerodynamics in gravel bikes, putting it to the test in the wind tunnel with muddy wheels, it continues to offer the speed and stability we are looking for on uneven terrain.

The major new features that 3T has introduced in this new model:

• The solution to the problem of the average wheel width that we had in the last model, which was limited to 42 mm wide. This new model presents an improvement with the technological and geometric changes made in the 3T Exploro Ultra frame, both in the rear chainstays and in the fork, creating the possibility to fit tyres up to 61mm wide.
• In previous models, we had a single seatpost created by the same company 3T, making it impossible to use other seatposts. This time they have adapted the seatpost hole to the universal 27.2 mm pitch hole, ensuring the ability to use other seatpost types.
• The new frame of the 3T Exploro Ultra has an aerodynamic design and adopts a rider position similar to that of a road bike. With the 3T Exploro Ultra you are guaranteed speed on the trails.
